Digi Quick Pages

I am in love with Digi Quick Pages...If you are a scrapper ad you have one photo that is just awesome and nothing to go with it in your stash, the quick page is the way to go...Don't get me wrong, I love playing with paper, but by the time I would go out and get a stash for one photo, would definitely cost more than the cost of having an 8 x 8 digi quick page printed out...Yes you could use what you purchase for another paper layout, but then again, it could just sit there collecting dust, never to be used again...Of course, it's up to every one's individual preference...My preference is a quick page...Plus there are so many awesome FREE pages out there...don't forget to give credit to the person that created the page...follow a blog hop...you never know what you'll find...If you prefer to take it a step farther, than you can make your own digi page...I'm still learning and as with most things, practice, practice, practice is a must...Also save, save, save your work...even the most proficient people in the digi world will tell you, don't forget to save your work...I would also recommend an external hard drive if you are in to any digi stuff...backing up your files is another thing...If a couple of days goes past and I haven't worked on a quick page I tend to forget some of the easy steps...The other day was no exception...I payed around for quite sometime before I decided to search for some help...I found one of the best and easiest to follow quick page tutorials and I would like to share that with you...Here it is in all it's glory and I am sure you will agree it's easey peasey to follow...Here's the quick page I created...Thanks for looking, have a wonderful day, stay safe, and enjoy...

Digi Quick Page

I've been doing a bit a dabbling in Digi Quick Pages...Still learning the ropes...Plus there's many freebies out there for you to try before you jump into buying digi kits etc...What I do like about it is that it's free, you can fix a mistake quickly, you can color coordinate much better, no sticky mess and several other reasons...I do like the end result and I have had some of the quick pages printed out in 8 x 8...Once printed I found that although I liked the end result, I missed the feeling of working with the paper, flowers, punches and all those other fun things...Digi pages printed out, also are just flat...you see the depth...but not like doing a paper page...Of course people like or dislike things for different reasons...this is just my personal opinion...I also like the fact that I seem to do better using multiple photos when I do a digi quick page...but then again, everyone has their own preferences for their own reasons...

Long Time Since I've Blogged

It's been ages since I've blogged...Things were quite hectic...When I retired a year ago, I knew what I wanted to do with my time, at least for the first year...I wanted to do exactly as I pleased, when I pleased, and definitely spend a summer with my grandchildren...And believe me, I've done just that...I think they were with me more than they were home and although it was hectic and crazy at times, I certainly enjoyed myself...They're all doing so great with their scrappin...As a matter of fact they can blend better than I can with the Prizma Pencils & the Odorless Mineral Spirits...They colored in several stamped flower images and a friend of mine bought them all...The girls were so excited...They didn't make a killing but to them, it was a million bucks...

I've been busy scrapping myself...trying to get away from my structured look...Great place to do that is over at http://www.allmomentsremembered.com/, you can't beat the friends you make and the challenges are awesome...While I don't always do all the challenges the ones that I do, certainly help me go out of my comfort zone...They usually have an online crop around the first of the month too...While you're at, take time to stop in the store and see all what Stacey has to offer...I believe she'll be coming out with the September Kits...You won't want to miss out on that, and they definitely go fast...

Another thing I need to catch up on is my digi scrapping...I've got scads of tutorials to go through...It's all most like there's no time in the day or night to do it all, but I'm sure trying...

I have a friend that I met at Cord Camera coming over tomorrow for a "scrappy" good time...She'll be here at 10:00 AM and I'm sure we'll be at it all morning, afternoon, and who knows maybe into the evening...told her she's welcome to stay for as long as she wants and we'll just veg out and scrap...
